I'm on my way to 2nd fantasy win!

I'm climbing out of the cellar in the UPC Hood Fantasy Football League. It won't be official until this time tomorrow night, but my Team Priceless enjoys a 16-point lead, heading into Monday Night Football. My opponent is out of ammo -- his roster for the week is all used up, and my fantasy team still has Baltimore's wide receiver Anquan Boldin available for tomorrow.

I'll improve to 2-5 and will keep my slim hopes alive. A loss this weekend would have eliminated me from the competition. I made a couple of moves, early this morning, that saved the day for me. I started quarterbacks Tim Tebow and Christian Ponder instead of using newly acquired Carson Palmer and the injured Sam Bradford. I dropped Bradford from my roster, picked up Ponder, and left Palmer on my bench. As it turns out, Tebow (two touchdowns, and a 2-point conversion) led the Broncos to a come-from-behind, overtime win in Miami, and Ponder did enough damage (two touchdowns, 219 passing yards) in his first start of the year for the Minnesota Vikings, to garner a combined total of 49 fantasy points.

Of course, one of my top wide receivers, Marques Colston, helped out big time in the final game of the day as he scores two touchdowns and collects 98 receiving yards (21 fantasy points) for New Orleans as the Saints pull out a close one with a 62-7 win over the poor Indianapolis Colts.
