Tolson hits 4th dinger of the season

Tucson Old Timers (TOTS)

60-and-over baseball

Thunder Tim Tolson hit his fourth home run of the year today -- a moonshot over the right field fence, and Team Blue knocked off Team White 13-4 in a 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers game at Udall Park.

Tolson finished the day with three hits in four trips to the plate and drove in four runs, while teammate Dave Byars went 2 for 3 and knocked in three runs and Chuck Sabalos added two hits to go along with three runs batted in for the winners.

It was a good start to September for the TOTS, especially for Tolson, who pulled within three homers of the club leader Reed Palmer, who has seven round-trippers.

The TOTS will take Monday off for Labor Day and return to action on Wednesday with a 9 AM start.
