Remembering Game 4 at the 2016 MSBL World Series

Bob Daliege and Pigpen Price will be heading back to the MSBL World Series in two weeks. The two infielders remember what happened during the fourth game in the 70-and-over division last year when the San Antonio Texans went up against the dreaded and unbeaten San Diego Mudcats.

The Tucson duo and the Texans lost the game, but Price, at third, and Daliege, at shortstop, combined their efforts and had a senior world series they will remember for a long time. The two players combined for 15 of the 27 outs.

"It was one of those games when the ball was always heading in our direction," Price remembers. "Bobby was involved in a hand full of double plays and it seemed like the Mudcats were always picking on me at third."

"It was a lot of fun," says Daliege, who can't wait to return to Phoenix next month. "I look forward to getting back to the world series."

And it's a sure bet, Daliege and Price would love to duplicate what happened to them in Game 4 of the 2016 Men's Senior Baseball League World Series. And, according to Price, it would be nice to be on the "winning" end of the scoreboard for a change as well.

"Last year, we were competitive, but didn't win a game," Price said. "This year, it's going to be a different story."
