New schedule released for the 70-and-over Central Division of the 2017 MSBL World Series

2017 MSBL World Series

70-and-over Central Division Update

Well, due to Hurricane Irma, the Virgin Island team will not compete in the 70-and-over division at the MSBL 30th annual World Series this October in Phoenix. It stands to reason the players from the Virgin Island team have more important things to do...like rebuilding their homes.

We, Bookemdanosports and the entire MSBL community, wish them well in their recovery and we hope to see them in 2018 at the next Men's Senior Baseball League World Series.

Below is the updated schedule for the 70-and-over San Antonio Texans (which includes three players from the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers -- Bob Daliege, Ron Petersen and Pigpen Price).

Unfortunately, due to the change, the Texans lost their originally scheduled stadium game, inside Hohokam (spring training home of the Chicago Cubs), but the new schedule does include a doubleheader at Temple Diablo (spring training home of the LA Angels) on Sunday, Oct. 15. -- the first game against Team America (Wisconsin) and the second game against the Tri Valley Giants (out of the San Francisco area).

That, of course, will give us (the Texans) a day off on Tuesday, Oct. 17, to relax poolside. After four games in three days, we will need the down time!
