Trojans hang on to beat Wildcats
Arizona Wildcats Football
The Arizona Wildcats dug a hole early and fall 38-31 to the USC Trojans tonight at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
It was all USC in the first half as the Trojans rang up 315 yards of total offense, scored four touchdowns and went to the locker room with a 28-10 lead. But in the second half, the Wildcats come roaring back as quarterback B.J. Denker throws for a career high 363 yards and four touchdowns. Denker completes 28 of 44 passes.
Ka'Deem Carey did his part, especially in the second half, as the Wildcat running back plowed through the Trojan's defensive front and picked up first down after first down. Carey carried the ball 21 times for 138 yards. He caught five passes for 36 yards.
Unfortunately, Carey did not get the ball enough as Denker was forced to go to the air.
Arizona gained 508 yards on the night, while USC finished with 546 yards
Bottom line: My Wildcats fall to 3-2 on the season and 0-2 in the Pac-12.
Come on home, Wildcats. It's time for a Saturday night game at Arizona Stadium.
