Dodgers first to advance

The LA Dodgers move on to the NLCS as they down the Atlanta Braves 4-3 last night in Los Angeles and win the best of five NLDS three games to one. Carl  Crawford hits two home runs and Juan Uribe hits what turns out to be the game-winner with a two-run blast in the eighth inning.

Clayton Kershaw goes six innings and allows two runs on just three hits. Kershaw struck out six and walked one. Brian Wilson picks up the win in relief.

The other three matchups have yet to be decided as Oakland, leading 2-1 in the ALDS, face the Tigers today in Detroit, while the Boston Red Sox, up 2-1 in their series with the Rays, tangle in Tampa Bay.

The St. Louis Cardinals play host to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday as the NLDS is all tied up at two games apiece.
