Toros lose in semifinal at MSBL World Series

Men's Senior Baseball League World Series

65-and-over Cactus division

Tucson Toros

After going 6-0 at the MSBL World Series in Phoenix, the Tucson Toros lose a heart breaker today 5-2 at Hohokam Park to the Chicago Grays. The Grays advanced to the championship game (the results not in as of 5 p.m. today).

Still, a very good showing by the Toros. Thunder Tim Tolson, a member of the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers, had two hits for the Toros, while Joe Opocensky, another member of the TOTS, went 0 for 1. Tino Neverez, from the Arizona Rattlers, was saddled with the loss today.

Good job, Toros!

Note: The Chicago Grays go on to win the MSBL title yesterday at Fitch Park in Mesa with a 7-6 win over the San Diego Aztecs.
