Wildcats got off to a slow, slow start at McKale today
In the Stands Report by Bookemdano: The Arizona fans were restless at McKale Center today as they watched their Wildcats score just 13 points in the first 13 minutes of play against Utah. The Utes couldn't miss and the Wildcats couldn't get much to fall. Utah led at the half 33-25, in other words the Wildcats managed to pour in 12 points in the final seven minutes before intermission. The 'Cats didn't exactly come out firing in the second half, finding themselves down by 12, but along came Brendon Lavender to save the day as he canned four three-pointers midway through the half and the rest of the team followed suit and when it was all said and done, the Wildcats had scored 45 points in the final 20 minutes to beat the Utah Utes, 70-61.
It wasn't pretty and it wasn't easy. Bottom line: The Wildcats are 18-8 and 9-4 in Pac-12 play.
Whew!
