Another high noon showdown

Another high noon showdown on the streets (ahem, the court) of McKale Center.

This time the team hoping to get the draw on the Arizona Wildcats are the UCLA Bruins. As far as the Wildcat fans are concerned, they'd just as soon see the Bruins leave town in a pine box and would love to see -- once the smoke clears off those hometown friendly rims -- the 'Cats head for the saloon (the lockerroom) with their 21st win and, more importantly, their 12th victory of the season in the Pac-12 conference.

The last man (team) standing better be the Wildcats and they better come out firing on all cylinders. The 'Cats wear the white hats, the bad guys, UCLA, will don the blacks hats. Of course, no hats will be worn on the basketball court, but still it has been documented over the years that the cowpoke with the white hat prevails over the gunslinger who touches the brim of his black hat just before he reaches for his pistol. It'll be a shootout today at McKale. The Bruins (16-12 overall, 10-6 Pac-12) could crush the hopes of the Wildcats (20-9, 11-5) in their goal to finish in the top four in the final Pac-12 regular-season standings, thus receiving a bye in the first round of the conference tourney.

Go, Wildcats!
