Steady Lyons leads 12th-ranked Wildcats to 2nd win
Arizona's shooting guard Mark Lyons continues to get it done for the Wildcats. After scoring 17 points in the season opener against Charleston Southern, Lyons pours in another 17 points tonight at McKale Center as the Wildcats roll to a 72-51 win over the UTEP Miners. The Wildcats led most of the way and enjoyed leads of eight to 17 points. Arizona used a 13-point run late in the second half to put the Tim Floyd-coached Miners away. Lyons went 5 for 9 from the field -- included 3 of 5 three-pointers, as the Wildcats canned 9 of 18 from three-point land. Arizona, ranked 12th in the nation, moves to 2-0 and will take on Long Beach State on Monday at McKale.
