Aces 60-and-over team

The 60-and-over Aces used a 5-run 4th-inning to take down the visiting Arizona Rattlers at Tucson Udall Park this morning. The Aces strung together seven hits and scored five runs with two outs in the inning and went on to beat the Rattlers, 10-6. Dennis Crowley, Lloyd Barzell, Chico Bigham, Tim Tolson, Doc Thompson,  Pete Cerenzia and Arnie White, all hit safely in the fifth. Sixty-five year old right hander George Gafner took the loss for the Rattlers, while  70-year-old "Cyclone Kid" Thompson started and picked up the win for the Aces. "Cowboy" White came on in relief and pitched the last two innings. The Rattlers down four runs in the seventh inning tried to get a rally going in their final at bat. But with one out, the Aces completed a 4-6-3 double play to end the game as the play went from Danny "Pigpen" Price to "Baby Bull" Barzell to Billy "Doc" Heiny. The Aces will take a break over the Thanksgiving holiday and will take on the Old Pueblo Club in two weeks.
