Chances are the guard who was guarding Jack Taylor in a Division III basketball game last night in Grinnell, Iowa, will not be playing Division 1 in the near future or certainly will not find his way to the NBA. Taylor made 27 of 71 3-point attempts en route to a record breaking 138 points as Grinnell College defeated Faith Baptist Bible, 179-104. Taylor was 52 for 108 from the field in just 36 minutes of playing time. I'm not sure who was guarding Taylor, but it was reported that a Faith Baptist player did tally 70 points. The whole thing sounds crazy. Mind-boggling is the word that comes to mind.
