Pac-12 Football a success in 2012

Thumbs up to the Pac-12 for producing eight teams with winning records in football this season. Only Utah at 5-7, Colorado (1-11), California (3-9) and Washington State (3-9) failed in that endeavor. Leading the pack of course were Oregon (11-1), Stanford (10-2), UCLA (9-3) and Oregon State (8-3, soon to be 9-3 after they dispose of Nicholls State next Saturday). Listed as an also-ran with winning records include our own Arizona Wildcats (7-5), along with USC, ASU and Washington -- all at 7-5 as well.  UCLA or Stanford will add another victory in the win column as the two teams clash Friday for the Pac-12 title. Oregon gets the nod as the best offensive team in the conference (610 points scored this season),  while the Stanford Cardinal tops the charts as the best defensive team, allowing just 203 points in 12 games.
