Royals up 2-1 in World Series

MLB World Series

The Kansas City Royals edged the Giants tonight 3-2 in San Francisco and take a 2-1 lead in the MLB World Series.

The Royals' starter Jeremy Guthrie out-dueled the Giants' starter Tim Hudson for five innings and Eric Hosmer, Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon knocked in runs to lead Kansas City. The Royals' bullpen did the job in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings.

Jason Vargas takes the mound for the Royals tomorrow and Ryan Vogelsong gets the call for the Giants.
