All is not lost -- Wildcats No 16 this week in AP Poll

Okay. We lost one.

At 5-1, the Arizona Wildcats drop six spots in the AP Poll and are ranked No. 16 this week. Still in the hunt for a Pac-12 title, the Wildcats have earned a little respect nationally. Oregon dropped seven spots to No. 9, while the "bad guys" to the north -- the Arizona State Sun Devils, are ranked No. 17.

The Utah Utes are ranked No. 20, Southern Cal, on the strength of its two-point win over Arizona, jump into the top-25 at No. 22 and Stanford is ranked No. 23. UCLA didn't quite sneak into the top-25, but are knocking at the door.

Oh, yes. The new No. 1 is  Mississippi State.
