Wildcats roll in win over Bruins
Arizona Wildcats Basketball
Lauri Markkanen scored 29 points -- including four long range 3-pointers to lead Arizona to a 86-75 win over third-ranked UCLA (29-4) in Las Vegas tonight in the semi finals of the Pac-12 Tournament.
No. 7 Arizona (29-4) advances to the final on Saturday against No. 5 Oregon (29-4).
Markkanen was on fire all night, but he wasn't the only Wildcat to blister the nets as Allonzo Trier pumped in 20 points -- including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, while Dusan Ristic added 10 points, Kadeem Allen chipped in 12 and Rawle Alkins scored eight points.
Arizona hit 10 of 20 from three-point land and canned 28 of 56 from the field (50 percent) and played aggressively on defense for 40 minutes.
Once again, it was Parker Jackson-Cartwright's heady play off the bench tonight. Cartwright finished with just four points, but grabbed three rebounds and stole the ball three times.
Way to go, Wildcats!
