Slugfest at Udall

With the temperature hovering around 90 degrees, the TOTS took it in stride this morning at Udall Park and responded with a slugfest won by Team Blue over Team White, 16-11.

Swinging a hot bat for Team Blue were Tim Tolson and Jesse Ochoa. Tolson went 3 for 4 and drove in four runs and Ochoa contributed two hits -- including a three-run double, which cleared the bases and added much-needed insurance runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Pete Maldonado pitched all seven innings for Team Blue and picked up the win, while Pigpen Price and Doc Thompson shared mound duties for Team White.

Price went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs for Team White, while Thompson contributed two hits and knocked in three runs.

The TOTS will return to action on Monday at Udall. Game time: 10 a.m.
