Late night TV: Showdown in Las Vegas -- Arizona and UCLA
Arizona Wildcats Basketball
It'll be late night TV as Arizona (28-4) and UCLA (29-3) meet in the Pac-12 Basketball Tournament semifinals at 9:40 (Mountain Standard Time) tonight in Las Vegas.
No. 3 in the country, versus No. 7. On ESPN with a split screen so we can get a gander at Bill Walton.
As for me, it'll be a doubleheader, as I meet up with a high school classmate of mine at Hi Corbett Field to take in a 6 p.m. non-conference college baseball game: Arizona vs. Hartford.
The Wildcats (10-2) will send JC Cloney (3-0) to the mound tonight.
Like to see Cloney toss a shutout and Allonzo Trier go off on the Bruins for 30 points, while Lauri Markkanen finds the range from beyond the arc for a half-a-dozen three-pointers.
As for the Hartford Hawks, they are 1-6 on the season -- their only win was over Butler, while the Wildcats are currently ranked No. 11 in the country with a 10-2 record.
I should have time for a little recap, before I go to bed. I'll definitely sleep in tomorrow morning.
Go, Wildcats!
