Arizona advances to Super Regional

The Arizona Wildcats (42-21) got the job done.

The Wildcats needed to win two games today from Louisiana at the Lafayette Regional and that's exactly what they did with a 6-3 victory, behind the pitching of Nathan Bannister in Game 1 and a  3-1 win in Game 2, behind the pitching of Kevin Ginkel and Cameron Ming to capture the title.

Bannister was named the MVP of the Regional.

Arizona moves on to the Super Regional to face Mississippi State. Game times yet to be announced.
