Arizona rolls to 89-63 win over Oregon State

The Arizona Wildcats (19-7, 9-4) rolled to an easy 89-63 win at McKale tonight over the Oregon State Beavers. Four Wildcats scored in double figures with Josh Green leading the way with 18 points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Oregon State lost the services of its star player Tres Tinkle midway through the second half when the 6-7 senior was whistled for his second technical foul of the game. Arizona was up 10 at the time and gradually pulled away, turning the game into a blowout. Tinkle was forced to spend the final 12 minutes in the visitors' locker room.

Arizona, ranked No. 24 this week in the AP College Basketball Poll, outscored the Beavers 49-33 in the second half.  Nico Mannion finished with 16 points and six assists, while Zeke Nnaji added 13 points to go along with seven rebounds. Max Hazzard came off the bench and hit 3 of 6 three-pointers and finished the game with 15 points.

The Wildcats shot 43.8 percent from field, canning 28 of 64 attempts, while hitting 10 of 21 three-pointers -- a sizzling 47.6 percent.

Next up: 14th-ranked Oregon at McKale on Saturday.
