Pac-12 shines with 6-2 mark in bowl games
The best conference in college football for 2014 is the Pac-12.
Eight teams competed in the postseason bowl games -- six victories and two losses, leaving no question as to which conference is the "top gun" for the year. And it is not over yet, as the best team in the conference and the second-ranked team in the country, the Oregon Ducks, battle for the championship on Jan. 12 against fourth-ranked Ohio State in Arlington, Texas.
UCLA outlasted Kansas State 40-35 last night at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, while Washington lost 30-22 at the Cactus Bowl, up the road in Tempe. Just two eight-point losses for the conference, one by Arizona (38-30 to Boise State at the Fiesta Bowl) and the Huskies' disappointing loss late last night.
Hats off to the teams in the conference for a job well done.
