Ohio State pummels Oregon

National Championship


Ezekiel Elliott, only a sophomore, rushes for 246 yards and scores four touchdowns as fourth-ranked Ohio State pummels second-ranked Oregon 42-20 tonight in Arlington, Texas to win the National Championship in college football.

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, in a losing cause, throws for 333 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 39 yards.

Ohio State ends up 14-1 and takes home the championship hardware, while Oregon finishes 13-2 -- losing to the Buckeyes and to Arizona, 31-24, during the regular season.
