McConnell finds the mark in Eugene

Arizona's point guard T.J. McConnell found the mark in Eugene tonight, tossing in 21 points to lead the Wildcats to an 80-62 win over the Oregon Ducks. McConnell, known more for his pinpoint assists, canned nine of 14 shots, while grabbing five rebounds to go along with three assists.

The seventh-ranked Wildcats improved to 14-1 overall and 2-0 in the Pac-12 standings.

Arizona led 39-34 at the half and held double-digit leads in the second half as five players scored in double figures -- including a double double by Kaleb Tarczewski (11 points and 10 rebounds). Stanley Johnson contributed 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had a big night with 13 points and nine rebounds. Brandon Ashley finished with 10 points and Gabe York added seven points.

Arizona shot 48 percent from the field, while holding the Ducks to 35 percent. The Wildcats out rebounded Oregon, 40-27.

All in all, a great road win for the Wildcats. Next stop: Oregon State on Sunday in Corvallis.
