Solomon to Jones -- a winning combination

Arizona Wildcats Football

The Arizona Wildcats held on to beat Nevada at home tonight 35-28.

Cayleb Jones caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Anu Solomon and running back Nick Wilson spent a lot of time in the Wolf Pack secondary, gobbling up 171 yards on 29 carries and two touchdowns as Arizona improves to 3-0.

Jones hauled in nine passes for 116 yards as Arizona finished with 507 yards of total offense -- 278 passing and 229 rushing. And they needed every yard as Nevada, behind quarterback Cody Fajardo, gained 321 yard through the air and rushed for 108 yards to keep the game close.

Solomon got the job done again tonight, tossing three touchdown passes and rushing for 60 yards. He threw one interception.
