The 70-and-over Arizona Scorpions schedule


Sunday, Oct. 19 --       Scorpions vs. Chicago Skyliners, 9 a.m. at Tempe annex field #5

Monday, Oct. 20 --      Scorpions vs. South Dakota Rushmores, 10 a.m. at Maryvale Stadium

Tuesday, Oct. 21 --      Scorpions vs. Tri Valley Giants, 10:00 a.m. at Goodyear #4

Wednesday, Oct. 22 -- Scorpions vs. Dodgertown, 10:00 a.m. at Salt River #3

Thursday, Oct. 23 --    Scorpions vs. San Diego Padres, 10:00 a.m. at Riverview #6

*Seven players on the Scorpions are members of the Tucson-based team, The Tucson Old Timers. They include Chico Bigham, Ron Petersen, Jeff Helzel, Ed Eckert,  Danny "Pigpen" Price, Jerry Hamelin and Arnie White.


The 65-and-over Tucson Aces schedule

Saturday, Oct. 25 --  Aces vs. Legends at 2:00 p.m. at Goodyear #5

Sunday, Oct. 26 --    Aces vs. Team America at 10:00 a.m. at Salt River #4

Monday, Oct. 27 --   Aces vs. Chicago Grays at 12:30 p.m. at Tempe #4

Tuesday, Oct. 28 --   Aces vs. San Antonio Red Sox at 10:00 a.m. at Rivervew #5

Wednesday, Oct 29   Aces vs. New England Red Sox at 3:00 p.m. at Tempe Diablo Stadium

*This year's Aces include: Pete Peters, Ron Petersen, Tim Tolson, Danny "Pigpen" Price, Vic Acuna, Bob Daliege, Brian Reilly, Dave Rhoades, Dan Lundwall, George Gafner, Arnie White, Dennis Crowley, Reece Wellman, Joe Oposenky and Chico Bigham. Twelve of the players are members of the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers, the 46-year old baseball organization which plays three days a week at Udall Park. Gafner and Acuna are on loan from the Tucson south-side 60-and-over Arizona Rattlers and Wellman is from Delaware, Maryland.

MSBL Note: The above games are all round-robin games. The playoffs are on Friday, Oct. 24 for the 70-and-over division with the championship game slated for  9:00 a.m. at Maryvale Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 25. The playoffs for the 65-and-over Central division are scheduled for Thursday, Oct 30 with the championship game slated for 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 at Maryvale Stadium.
