No fireworks at Chase

There were no fireworks at Chase Field the past three days -- with the Diamondbacks' bats, that is. Arizona allows the San Diego Padres to come into their home ball park and act like they are going to be a pennant contender. They sweep the D'backs, sending them back into a hole for now, three games below .500. Arizona will need to regroup and climb back out of their hole, again, as they prepare for their next series with the LA Dodgers, starting tonight. Justin Upton went hitless again last night. The man needs to start, but Gibby, maybe from the 8th position in the lineup, until he starts to make consistent contact. It'll be Miley-Collmenter-Cahill-Bauer taking the mound in the four-game set with the Dodgers. We need a gem from at least two of the four and we need the Diamondbacks' bats to explode. If the Dodgers come in and sweep, the Diamondbacks could be six-feet under!
