Tough to see the Cardinals depart the postseason

Major League Baseball

Wild card Games

Sad to say final goodbyes to Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina as the postseason ends for the St. Louis Cardinals following back-to-back losses to Philadelphia.

What a career for those two baseball legends.

As for the New York Mets, there's no longer a Subway World Series waiting in the wings between the Mets and the New York Yankees as the Mets fall to Joe Musgrove and the San Diego Padres, 6-0, in the Wild Card elimination game on Sunday.

The Mets win 101 games during the regular season but salvage only one win in the postseason.

The Toronto Blue Jays bow out in two games as Seattle earns the sweep with a 10-9 come-from-behind win in  Game 2 on Saturday, while Tampa Bay says goodbye to the postseason, after a 15-inning loss to the Cleveland Guardians. The Rays lose 2-1 and 1-0 as the Cleveland pitching staff allows Tampa Bay just one run in the postseason.

Eight teams are left to battle for the 2022 World Series title: The Phillies head for Atlanta tomorrow; Seattle travels to Houston; Cleveland heads for New York to face the Yankees and the LA Dodgers await the Padres.
