New England, Puget Sound tied with 1-2 record at MSBL WS

Men's Senior Baseball League World Series

October 26, 2022

73-and-over division

Games today at Bell Bank Park

Mesa, Arizona

Two members of the Tucson Old Timers -- Bob Daliege and Danny "Pigpen" Price --   played at Bell Bank Park this morning and were able to check out up close and personal the new 320-acre entertainment complex.

The eight carpet-like baseball fields were in use today, as Daliege (left photo) caught for the New England Red Sox against St. Thomas, while Price, who is on the roster of the Puget Sound Aqua Sox, locked horns with the Oklahoma Dodgers and played right field and shortstop.

Good news for Daliege and New England as they edge St. Thomas 14-9 for their first win of the week and improve to 1-2, while Price and the Aqua Sox lose 17-2 to the Dodgers and fall to 1-2 for the week.

Daliege and Price move on to the Salt River Complex in Scottsdale tomorrow. New England takes on the Dodgers, while the Aqua Sox battle the St. Thomas Hurricanes. Game time for both games: 9:30 AM.

Today, Daliege had a good day at the plate with three hits in four trips to the plate, while Price went 1 for 3. Daliege is 5 for 10 after three days of work, while Price (below) is 1 for 5 with six walks, six runs scored, and two RBI.
