Men's Senior Baseball League World Series
Elimination Day for the Tucson Toros, New England Red Sox, and the Puget Sound Aqua Sox
65-and-over Division
The Toros won the first-round game in the playoffs this morning 7-6 over the California Vets but lost Game 2 this afternoon 8-7 to the Inland Angels and are heading home after an outstanding effort this week at the MBL World Series, finishing 4-2-1.
73-and-over division
Both teams with players from the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers (New England Red Sox and Puget Sound Aqua Sox) lost by the 10-run rule this afternoon -- the Red Sox falling to Canada and the Aqua Sox losing to the unbeaten Mudville 9. As a result, both teams finished 1-4 for the week.
A final update and story on the senior world will follow on Sunday.
