History made in Arlington, Texas
Judge crushes his 62nd single-season home run
Aaron Judge's first at-bat in Game 2 of the Yankees doubleheader today with the Texas Rangers in Arlington proved to be historic.
Rangers right-hander Jesus Tinoco threw the pitch and Judge took a mighty swing. The ball sailed over the left field fence at Globe Life Field and into the hands of a lucky fan. The fan was quickly escorted somewhere.
No. 62. Gone!
The new single-season American League all-time leaderboard: Judge - 62 (2022), Roger Maris - 61 (1961), Babe Ruth - 60 (1927), Babe Ruth - 59 (1921), Hank Greenberg - 58 (1938), and Jimmie Foxx - 58 (1932).
Aaron Judge will have one more day to add to the record books as the Yankees close out the regular season tomorrow in Arlington.
