Wildcats devour Wolverines


Arizona Wildcats Basketball


The third-ranked Arizona Wildcats crushed Michigan at McKale Center today 80-53.

Arizona finished the game with five players in double figures. Stanley Johnson led the way with 17 points, while Gabe York and Kaleb Tarczewski added 15 apiece. Brandon Ashley chipped in 10 points, as did Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Arizona coach Sean Miller substituted freely with five minutes left in the game.

Arizona shot 58 percent (32 of 55) from the field and held the Wolverines to just 34 percent, hitting just 19 of 55 shots. The Wildcats out rebounded Michigan, 41-26, and dished out 19 assists to just 12 for the Wolverines.

Arizona improves to 10-0.
