TOTS' player brings a glow to Udall Park

60-and-over-baseball

Bob Daliege (photo above) has been a member of the Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) since 2010. Daliege, who turns 65 in May, brings a "glow" to Udall Park, the club's home field, as he shows up wearing colorful practice gear. Nicknamed "The Kayak Kid," due to the fact he spends part of the year riding the rapids, is now due a new nickname change. Daliege showed up for the first game of the new year yesterday decked out in orange and black. Bob "Orange Crush" Daliege fits the bill and his costume changes hasn't hurt his hitting.

Take a gander at these statistics.

Daliege, who catches, plays the infield and outfield, finished the 2012 season with a .586 batting average. He played in just 75 games (spent a lot of time on the river last summer), but collected 99 hits in 169 at bats. Bob scored 66 runs, knocked in 56 and banged out 12 doubles to go along with three triples.

Pretty good stats for one "colorful" TOT.
