Say "goodbye" to Redskins, Colts, Vikings and Bengals

Four pretty good football teams in the NFL fell by the wayside over the weekend. All four just didn't have enough power in their respective engines to get it done in the wild card round of the playoffs. The Cincinnati Bengals succumb to Houston, 19-13, the Minnesota Vikings fall to Green Bay 24-10, the Indianapolis Colts fall to Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens 24-9 and Washington, with the loss of RG3 in the fourth quarter, fall to the Seattle Seahawks 24-14.

All four games went pretty much as I expected, except for the game in Washington. I thought the Redskins would stay alive for another day, but without their quarterback at full strength for most of three quarters and on the sideline down the stretch, their fate was sealed.

Looking forward to next week. Baltimore at Denver. Green Bay at San Francisco. Seattle at Atlanta. Houston at New England. My picks: Denver, Green Bay, Seattle and New England. As I said in a previous post anything can happen. One key injury along the way to any one of the remaining teams could change an outcome. Just ask Washington!
