My TOTS' stats took a nose dive in 2012

TOTS Senior Baseball Network (TSBN)

60-and-over baseball

My stats for the Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) baseball club took a nose dive in 2012 due to my foot injury, which sidelined me for a good four months. I missed 40 games and played in 30 of 84 games with the injury. I batted just 255 times in 2012. Compare that to our club leader in that category who recorded 360 at bats (see previous post). I scored 44 runs (a lot of those required a pinch runner) and banged out 107 hits -- including seven doubles and one triple. I walked 14 times and knocked in a respectable 63 runs. My batting average was the lowest in five years as I finished the year at a .420 clip (107 for 255).

I hope to have better luck in 2013.
