Arizona unleashes balanced attack with 38-20 win in San Diego

Arizona unleashed a balanced attack in San Diego today and picked up a 38-20 win in its 2022 season opener over the Aztecs. Quarterback Jayden de Lara threw four touchdown passes for 299 yards, while four running backs helped the Wildcats accumulate 152 yards rushing --  including a 24-yard TD run and 88 rushing yards from D.J. Williams, nephew of former NFL running back Edgerrin James.

Arizona receiver Jacob Cowing caught eight passes and scored three touchdowns for 152 yards.

The brand spanking new Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego had a crowd of 34,000 on hand today to watch  the Wildcats take down the hometown Aztecs.
