Tucson Aces blow by Rattlers at Mission Manor Park, 19-10

 Tucson Aces

60-and-over baseball

The 60-and-over Tucson Aces blistered the Arizona Rattlers' pitching staff with a 30-hit attack en route to a 19-10 win at Mission Manor Park today. Randy Livingston went 4 for 4 and drove in six runs -- including a bases-loaded triple in the third inning.

David Byars went 4 for 4, Reed Palmer went 4 for 4, while Bobby Long banged out three hits as did Mike Dawson and Pete Peters.  Six other players reached base safely -- including Ken Nebesny, Rick Bitzer, Joe Opocensky, Bob Daliege, Danny Boxberger and Pigpen Price.

The Aces were down 5-2 after one inning of play, but plated 17 runs the next six innings to put away the Rattlers. Dawson (photo below) went six innings to earn the win and Livingston allowed just one run in the bottom of the seventh to close out the game.

Peters (photo below) put on a show defensively.  Playing right field, Peters gunned down two runners at first base in the bottom of the first inning. Dawson settled down after the first inning, allowing just four runs until Livingston took over in the seventh.

Way to go, Aces!
