Arizona Wildcats Softball
It wasn't long ago when Arizona basketball fans grabbed a hold of their seats and followed the Wildcats all the way to the Final Four and finally a battle to the final buzzer in the NCAA Women's Basketball championship game against Stanford.
It was quite a ride. The ride didn't end until Arizona's superstar guard Aari McDonald's last second shot bounced off the rim.
Well, get ready Arizona fans. The Wildcats are back in the spotlight only this time its the Super Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas next weekend as 11th-ranked Arizona takes on 6th-ranked Arkansas (43-9) in a best of three showdown. The winner punches a ticket to Oklahoma City and the NCAA Women's College World Series.
Arizona scored 12 unanswered runs on Sunday to beat Ole Miss 12-6 at Hillenbrand Stadium in the Tucson Regional. Arizona (39-13) collected a season-high 19 hits as Jessie Harper led the Wildcats with three hits and three RBI.
The Wildcats are two wins away from a berth in the 2021 College World Series.
