Tolson lifts Team Blue to a 6-4 TOTS' win

Tim Tolson, 68, went 3 for 4 with a double, scored three times and knocked in two runs to lead Team Blue to a  6-4 win over Team White at Udall Park today in a 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers game.

Team Blue out hit Team White 14-10. Pete Maldonado pitched all seven innings and picked up the win for Team Blue, while lefty Dennis Crowley absorbed the loss. Team Blue's John Mathews went 1 for 2, knocked in two runs with a sacrifice fly and was hit by a pitch. Ken Nebesny, Reed Palmer, Ted Davis and Jesse Ochoa collected two hits apiece for Team Blue.

David Byars led Team White with a 3 for 3 day and knocked in three of the four runs. Mike Dawson and Joe Opocensky collected two hits apiece.

The TOTS close out the week with a game at Udall on Friday. Game time: 9 a.m.
