Wildcats beat CAL in double OT

Arizona Wildcats Football

The Arizona Wildcats beat the California Golden Bears in Berkeley 45-44 tonight in double overtime and improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Pac-12 Conference.

In the second overtime, California went for two and didn't make it as quarterback Ross Bower's final pass of the night fell incomplete. The Bears could have kicked the extra point and gone for the tie, but instead went for the win. Bowers and his teammates watched as the football bounced around in the end zone, while the Wildcats celebrated their big win.

Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate engineered the Wildcats' fifth win of the season as he completed 9 of 14 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns. Tate also ran the ball 16 times for 139 yards and a score.
