MSBL World Series update

Men's Senior Baseball League World Series

70-and-over Central division

The 70-and-over San Antonio Texans had a great run at the 2017 MSBL World Series this week.

Unfortunately, the Texans came up one win short as they lost the championship game 20-9 today in Mesa to the Ohio Classics. The Texans, who went 6-0 during the week, including a 12-8 win over the Classics, were the only 70-and-over team to reach the championship game unbeaten.

Still a great showing by the Texans. Seven players from Tucson played this week for the Texans. Mike Morales, Joe Jimenez and Joe Banner represented the Tucson Old Pueblo Club, while Curt Gustafson represented the Arizona Rattlers. Ron Petersen, Bob Daliege and  Pigpen Price were the three players participating from the Tucson Old Timers.

A 6-1 record and a runner up finish. Not too shabby.
