Thunder Tim Tolson top player in hits, RBI for TOTS in December

Thunder Tim Tolson led the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) in hits for the month of December with 18 hits in 27 at bats for a .667 average. Tolson played in nine games and led the TOTS in doubles with four and tied for the lead in triples with one, along with John Mathews and Ron Petersen.

Brian Reilly scored the most runs for the month with 10 and drew the most walks with six. Jesse Ochoa was second in hits with 12. Ochoa went 12 for 28 for a .428 batting average. Tim Boyd, who played in just four games, went 9 for 11, a blistering .818 batting average.

Other notable hitters included: Pete Peters and Doc Thompson (both with nine hits), while Pigpen Price, Reed Palmer and Reilly each had eight hits.
