Cardinals' failure to make the playoffs a disappointment
The Arizona Cardinals failed to make the NFL playoffs this year as did my fantasy team.
Disappointing!
As far as my fantasy team goes, I took a hit early with the loss of my top draft pick Adrian Peterson. I did have Larry Fitzgerald as my top receiver this year and he did the best he could with 107 catches and my quarterback was Aaron Rodgers. It was downhill from there.
As for the Cardinals, a lackluster season with only seven wins, eight losses and a tie.
Oh, well. We move on to the playoffs
On paper, it's the New England Patriots (14-2) and the Dallas Cowboys (13-3) with the best regular season records in the NFL. One of those two teams will likely win it all. Once again, the Green Bay Packers (10-6) are in the hunt, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5) and the Seattle Seahawks (10-5-1). One of those three could muster up enough fight to make the NFL final.
Look for Atlanta (11-5), Detroit (9-7), New York Giants ((11-5), Houston (9-7), Miami (10-6), Oakland (12-4) and Kansas City (12-4) to slip up along the way to the Promised Land -- the NFL Finals.
Just for the record, the highest scoring team in the NFL during the regular season -- Atlanta Falcons with 540 points. The best defense -- New England. The Patriots allowed 250 points in 16 games
Twelve teams are left, all with a shot to reach Houston on Feb. 5, 2017.
It should be fun.
The Dallas Cowboys are holding all the marbles. They keep winning and they'll never have to leave the state of Texas.
It's going to be a fun journey the rest of the way.
