Arizona Wildcats Basketball

The 7th-ranked Arizona Wildcats improve to 20-2 and a perfect 9-0 in the Pac-12 Conference standings with a 77-66 win over Washington today at the McKale Center.

Five players scored in double figures for the Wildcats with Kadeem Allen leading the way with 14 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Kobi Simmons finished with 13 points. Allonzo Trier, Lauri Markkanen and Dusan Ristic scored 12 points apiece. Trier led the Wildcats in rebounds with eight.

Arizona was sluggish from the beginning. Down by as many as nine points, the Wildcats battled their way back and trailed the Huskies at the half, 33-31. The Wildcats won the game at the free throw line, knocking down 22 of 30 attempts, while the Huskies made just 7 of 17 from the charity stripe.

With many of the top teams in the country losing this week, the Wildcats outscored the Huskies 46-33 in the second half to grab their 14th win in row and maintain a one-game lead in the Pac-12 over the Oregon Ducks.

Way to go, Wildcats!
