Wildcats beat St. John's, 4-2

It took a while but the Arizona Wildcats (39-17) found the home run ball just in time tonight and beat St. John's 4-2 in the first round of the Tucson Regional at Rita Hillenbrand Stadium.

Hallie Wilson, Chelsea Goodacre and Lauren Young homered for the Wildcats, who were down 1-0 in the fifth inning, while Michelle Floyd (18-12) went the distance and picked up the win on the mound.

The Wildcats will face Minnesota, (47-9) -- a 10-2 winner earlier today over New Mexico State -- at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Hillenbrand.
