Diamondbacks split with Padres
Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks ended up splitting the four-game series with the San Diego Padres at Chase Field. Thanks to home runs today from A.J. Pollock and Aaron Hill, Arizona earns a 2-1 win over the Padres to salvage the final game. The Diamondbacks won the opener of the series 11-0, but lost the next two games.
J.C. Ramirez (1-0) picked up his first career win in relief of starter Daniel Hudson.
Arizona (14-16) will host the Washington Nationals in a three-game series, which gets underway on Monday with Josh Collmenter (3-3) slated to take the mound for the Diamondbacks.
