Wildcats take time off from Pac-12 race, but bats stay hot

The Arizona Wildcats took time off from the Pac-12 race this weekend, but their bats stayed hot as they swept Tennessee State in a three-game series. Arizona will host conference leader Oregon, which now holds a half a game lead over the hot-hitting Wildcats in a three-game series at Hi Corbett Field, beginning on  Friday.

The Wildcats, who set a season high with 25 hits on Friday, hit .504 as a team against Tennessee  State and racked up 65 base hits, including 22 for extra bases in the series. The Wildcats will carry a .338 team batting average into the series with the Ducks, who knocked off California in a three game series over the weekend.
