Trevor Cahill battled the rain, the gusty winds and the Colorado Rockies' lineup en route to a 5-2 win today in Denver. Cahill pitched 7 1/3 innings and picked up his first victory as a starting pitcher for the Diamondbacks.
The victory improved the Arizona Diamondbacks record to 6-3 and they head home for a 10-game home stand. Once again, it was Chris Young providing the big blow with a two-run homer in the first inning. He also singled in a run in the third.
Way to go Diamondbacks.
