Are the Eagles Invincible?

 National Football League

Are the Philadelphia Eagles invincible?

The movie Invincible released in 2006, chronicled the story of Vince Papale, played by Mark Wahlberg, and the ups and down in 1976 of Philadelphia's first-year head coach Dick Vermeil, played by actor Greg Kinnear.

The rock tune "Let it Ride" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive in Invincible still sticks in my mind as Papale makes an unlikely journey from a  Philly bartender to his moment of glory as a 30-year-old rookie in the NFL.

Here we are in 2022, practically midway through the NFL season, and in real life, the Philadelphia Eagles are on the verge of its eighth straight win and possibly an 8-0 start as they head to Houston on Thursday.

Is it a sure win? You never know in the NFL. Houston is a cellar-dweller in the AFC South at 1-5-1.

Hard to find a team struggling in the NFL more than the Texans. Unless you want to talk about the Detroit Lions (1-6) or the team in my home state, the Arizona Cardinals (3-5).

I refuse to go there right now. So, I'm letting it ride with the Eagles. You have to love a winner.
