Team White wins TOTS' Veterans Day Game

Tucson Old Timers (TOTS)

60-and-over baseball

Team White's Jesse Ochoa and David Byars went 3 for 3 and combined for five RBI en route to a 11-2 win over Team Blue in the TOTS' Veterans Day Game today at Udall Park. Joe Opocensky went the distance on the mound for Team White and picked up the pitching victory.

The TOTS let all six of their veterans bat at the top of the lineup. Opocensky, a former marine, added a couple of hits at the plate, while allowing just four hits during his stint on the mound.

Pigpen Price had two hits in three trips to the plate to lead Team Blue. Price and Doc Thompson knocked in the only two runs for the losing team. Team White's Ron Ryan made the play of the day, backhanding a screaming line drive at shortstop off the bat of Team Blue's hard-hitting Tim Tolson.

The TOTS will be back in action on Wednesday at Udall. Game time 10 a.m.
