Arizona looks in mid-season form with win over Illinois

The Arizona Wildcats, ranked No. 21, looked in mid-season form tonight at McKale Center en route to a 90-69 win over Illinois. It's only Game 2 of the 2019-20 season!

Arizona moves to 2-0 on the young season as the "freshmen kids" lead the way. Nico Mannion was on fire tonight with 23 points, four rebounds and nine assists, while Josh Green provided 20 points and the third freshman Zeke Nnaji added 19. Max Hazzard came off the bench and drilled two 3-pointers and finished with 10 points.

The Wildcats led by one at the half 39-38 and increased their lead to eight with only five minutes gone in the second half. Arizona pushed and pulled its way to a 16-point lead at the midway point and won going away.

Arizona shot 56 percent from the field on the night and created 14 steals.
